Kai Katering was born from a chef with a passion for food and a career spanning over 25 years.
Head chef and owner, Cameron Hogg, decided it was time to do it for himself after spending many years working in hotels, clubs and restaurants all over Australia & NZ. Cameron's most recent achievement saw him heading a club kitchen team, who for three consecutive years has taken out an award at the Club Queensland Dining Awards.
Cameron has a very hands-on approach to the business along with the support and backing from his team of 16, which includes wife Rochelle.
The Kai Cafe & Restaurant boasts amazing views of the Pumicestone Passage, With indoor and outdoor dining on the deck. Not only do Kai Cafe & Restaurant have a great location over looking the Pumicestone Passage, with 2 function rooms seating up to 100, they are more than happy to out cater for any occasion. We were extremely happy with Cameron cooking at our wedding reception. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food.
Cameron listened to our ideas and then gave us numerous suggestions. Together we came up with the perfect wedding menu. On the day Cameron put it all together very professionally, the timing was excellent and the dishes just complimented each other really well. We definitely recommend Cameron!
